3D Settings: Adjust Image settings with preview 

With this setting, one can set the visual quality of the picture as per our choice. There will be a slider marked Use my preference emphasizing, with this, you can set the slider as per your choice. 

For advanced settings, check the box labeled: Use the advanced 3D image settings. These advanced settings will present several new settings and features that your game doesn’t offer. It will make your game-playing experience even better. 

Now, choose Manage 3D settings from the left sidebar.

Ambient Occlusion

It is a shading and rendering system used in computer graphics. It is used to determine how exposed each point in a scene is to ambient lighting. For example, there will be more occlusion in a tube to be relatively darker compared to the exposed parts. 

In games, the ambient occlusion will be determined for every point for the scenes having an open sky. With this system, proper lighting effects and shadow detail can be given to any game. You can change the setting off/on as per your requirement. Game quality will surely change by turning this option on. 

If you seem that the game performance gets affected due to this, then better turn it off. 

Anisotropic Filtering

It is a methodology for improving the image quality of textures in games. With this technique, the surfaces look much more straightforward, so when you move your player ahead, you will notice that the surface doesn’t look blurry but looks sharp. 

If you’re Anisotropic filtering is turned off, you will see the surface blur, but you will see the detailed surface area when you turn it on. It uses higher memory bandwidth, but it will enhance your experience playing the games. 

You should arrange the setting to the maximum 16X value for the best results. The other is 8X which won’t give that much enhancement as compared to that provided by 16X.

Anti-aliasing – FXAA:

Anti-Aliasing is a technology for reducing jaggy and staircase effects from the games. By decreasing these effects, it makes the game much smoother. 

FXAA stands for fast approximate anti-aliasing. Many people also refer to it as quick sample anti-aliasing (FSAA). It is a form of anti-aliasing. 

FXAA doesn’t need much computational power when compared to the standard spatial anti-aliasing. The undesirable jagged edges are turned into pixels, and this way, the game is made smooth. 

Antialiasing Mode

Various methods are using which you can implement the pixel-smoothing image anti-aliasing. You can mix the game’s settings and hardware settings to change the game’s look. You can try “enhance” or “override” too. Also, go for a program-specific tab if you are looking to improve a specific game. 

Anti-aliasing – Setting

With this, you can control how much amount of anti-aliasing sampling is utilized. The higher the value you set, the better the image quality will get, but there will be lag while playing the game as the game will be prepared slowly. You can set it to the maximum value and if you find that processing has gone very slow, then put it back to normal. 

Anti-aliasing – Transparency

This setting gives a smooth appearance to small objects such as trees, fences, pebbles, etc. These elements have unique rendering conditions that aren’t fulfilled by the conventional forms of anti-aliasing.

With this setting, you can provide these elements with a particular form of anti-aliasing. Please take it to the maximum and check how the performance is. 

Texture Filtering and Optimizations

These options are suitable for systems having old hardware. Texture filtering will drastically better with the old hardware. For this, turn off your Anisotropic setting and fixed this to the maximum. 

Power Management Mode

Want to save strength as you play the game? It would then be best if you learned about this setting, which will help you save energy. You can start with Adaptive. If you see any difficulties popping up while playing the game, such as game lag, slower processing, etc., then switch to Prefer Maximum Performance.
